About the role
We’re looking for an engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engineering estimates in a timely manner specific to the requirements of the client, to check and confirm the cost we are authorising is fair, reasonable and related to the incident in question. Activate Group is a growing UK business with 1,000+ team members nationwide. Key responsibilities
- Check incident circumstances against work estimated for to see if the damage could be related to the incident.
- Check estimated costs are fair and reasonable.
- Check estimates are within customer specific rates if a network repairer has been allocated.
- Amend estimates to correct customer specific rates if a network repairer has been allocated.
- Negotiate with non-network repairers in order to bring inflated costs down.
- Authorise incident related work to repairers.
- Correctly value vehicles for total losses.
Skills and experience
- Engineering background and body shop experience
- Experience of using Audatex and the Case Management System
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal/written communication
