UK regional practice, which is headquartered in Manchester, is looking to expand the Employment Team. The department is well-structured with highly capable and acclaimed partners at the helm. This full-service practice is long established and retained by an impressive and diverse client base. Focus is acting for employers (sizeable corporates, SMEs and professional service clients) but the team also advises directors and employees on an interesting range of instructions.

The team is thriving and the nature of this role requires not less than 3 years' PQE (or equivalent with previous experience). You will enjoy a high degree of client responsibility managing your own caseload whilst also working as part of a partner-led team on more complex matters.

Typical instructions include:

  • TUPE transactions, consultations and restructuring advice
  • HR support enquiries on policy and disciplinary & grievances
  • Negotiating exits and terminations
  • Employment Tribunal and EAT Proceedings
  • Training and Employment Law updates
  • Preparing employment contracts and documentation
