Job Description
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our UK marketing initiatives and play a pivotal role in driving partner-sourced revenue across the UK, ANZ, and North America.
This role requires a self-starter mindset with the confidence to take ownership, work autonomously, and proactively identify opportunities to grow brand presence and drive measurable results. You will be comfortable reporting on goals, KPIs, and ROI, ensuring marketing activity is tightly aligned with priorities and business objectives.
This position is split approximately 50% UK-focused and 50% global partner marketing-focused. Locally, you will manage all UK marketing activity, from events and sponsorships to media engagement and content publishing. You will work collaboratively with Actionstep’s UK team to define and execute on a multi-faceted marketing plan, focused on growth, pipeline generation, and strengthening brand position.
Globally, Actionstep has a managed community of Certified Consulting Partners (legal technology consultants and implementation partners), referral partners, and technology companies who integrate with our platform. These partnerships are vital to provide customers with top quality, adaptable technology solutions for their law firms. You will work closely with our product, partnerships, and marketing teams to deliver campaigns that raise awareness of partner expertise and services, while driving adoption of integrated technology solutions relevant to customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
UK Marketing Leadership (50%)
- Plan, manage, and execute the annual UK marketing strategy, ensuring alignment to commercial goals and overall global marketing strategy.
- Proactively identify and capitalise on new opportunities to position Actionstep as a market leader in the UK legal tech space.
- Lead all UK events, sponsorships, roundtables, and industry engagements.
- Build and manage relationships with UK media outlets, journalists, and key industry influencers.
- Develop and execute content publishing arrangements with legal publications, industry bodies, law societies, and legal tech associations.
- Work closely with UK leadership to align marketing activities with sales priorities and business objectives.
- Align global brand positioning, tailoring existing assets and resources to ensure market relevance.
- Track, measure, and report on campaign performance, providing data-driven recommendations to optimise results.
Global Partner Channel Marketing (50%)
- Collaborate with partnerships and product teams to design and deliver high-impact joint marketing campaigns with consulting, referral, and integration partners.
- Create campaigns to drive adoption of strategic technology integrations across UK, ANZ, and North America.
- Maximise partner marketing budget judiciously to support joint events and thought leadership initiatives that deliver clear ROI.
- Ensure partner marketing efforts align with revenue share agreements and contribute to pipeline growth and closed-won deals.
- Work closely with sales, partner, and product teams to craft compelling partner value propositions and go-to-market materials.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in a B2B marketing role, ideally within technology/SaaS.
- Knowledge, interest or ideally experience in the legal sector.
- Proven track record managing both local and international marketing initiatives.
- Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable working independently, making decisions, and owning results.
- Strong presence and gravitas—able to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, partners, and media.
- Experience delivering impactful events, sponsorships, and media relations campaigns.
- Partner channel marketing and co-branded campaign execution experience.
- Strong copywriting, content creation, and storytelling skills.
- Commercially minded with an analytical approach to measuring ROI.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Directly reports to the Global Marketing Leader.
- Works closely with UK GTM leadership, Global President, and local leadership team.
- Collaborates across Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Customer Success teams globally.
