About The Role
Are you ready to kickstart your career in construction and estimating with one of the UK’s leading infrastructure companies? Balfour Beatty is looking for an Estimator to join our Asset and Technology Solutions department in the Modular Accommodation Team in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for problem‑solving, and a desire to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the production of cost estimates and quotations for modular building solutions.
- Learning how to interpret design specifications and market rates to create competitive tenders.
- Assisting in managing customer enquiries and helping to maintain a strong pipeline of new business.
- Collaborating with internal teams including operations, commercial, and procurement.
- Helping to review building fleet conditions and contribute to refurbishment cost estimates.
- Gaining exposure to industry legislation and best practices in modular construction.
