The Impact & Monitoring Officer will support Sector 3 to consistently evidence, understand and communicate the impact of our organisation and the wider impact of Stockport’s VCFSE sector, with a particular focus on grant programmes administered by Sector 3. Working under the direction of the Impact Lead, the postholder will ensure that monitoring and reporting processes are delivered efficiently, that data is accurate and usable, and that VCFSE organisations are supported to engage with impact reporting in a proportionate and accessible way.
The role will also support the collection of insight, learning and lived experience from across the sector to help inform future funding programmes, strengthen continuous improvement, and ensure the voice of VCFSE organisations is captured and reflected in Sector 3’s work.
Person Specification- Experience of supporting data collection processes, including maintaining records, systems or databases (e.g. CRM or grant management systems)
- Experience of supporting reporting or administrative processes for programmes, projects or funding initiatives
- Experience of working with VCFSE organisations or community-based delivery settings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and consistency in data and reporting
- Ability to organise, manage and maintain structured information across multiple programmes or priorities
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to capture notes, summarise discussions and produce clear records
- Ability to support and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including VCFSE organisations
- Understanding of monitoring, evaluation and basic impact reporting principles
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and maintain accurate records under time constraints
- Experience of taking minutes or capturing qualitative insight in meetings, workshops or participation sessions
- Understanding of fair funding principles and reducing reporting burden for VCFSE organisations
- Understanding of participatory approaches, co-production or community engagement methods
- Experience of supporting case study development or storytelling for impact
- Knowledge of Stockport VCFSE sector or Greater Manchester VCSE infrastructure
- Understanding of data quality, assurance processes or basic governance frameworks
- Experience of supporting learning cycles, reflective practice or programme improvement
