The Growth Company’s (GC) Business Growth Hub (BGH) team has an exciting opportunity for a Stakeholder Account Manager, a role focused on supporting businesses across Greater Manchester to start, grow, and innovate.
BGH supports businesses across Greater Manchester with expert advice on funding, innovation, people, sales and sustainability. We provide tailored support to meet the needs of each business at every stage of its growth journey.
The Stakeholder Account Manager plays an important role in managing the relationship between The Growth Company and Local Authorities. Aligned to a specific Local Authority area, the role coordinates GC delivery activity locally and ensures business support reflects the needs and priorities of the local economy.
Working closely with colleagues across GC, Local Authorities, and key partners, the Stakeholder Account Manager helps ensure that support for businesses is inclusive, place-based, and delivers meaningful economic impact.
Please note that this role requires working on‑site in Oldham three days per week.Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong, trusted relationships with Local Authorities and act as the main point of contact.
- Understand local economic strategies and ensure Growth Company activity aligns with local priorities.
- Coordinate delivery across specialist teams to generate economic impact within each district.
- Lead regular meetings with advisors to review activity, monitor engagement, and track outcomes.
- Provide Local Authorities with updates, insights, and performance data to support future planning.
- Support the development of co‑working spaces and co‑locate with LA teams where appropriate.
- Represent Business Growth Hub at events, engage with businesses, and promote available services.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and produce regular reports on activity and economic developments.

Skills Required:

- Experience conducting business diagnostics and using analytical tools.

- Knowledge of GC support services, CRM systems, and Greater Manchester’s key sectors.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
