The Retail Operations Lead is a working manager who has responsibility for the day-to-day management of their own allocated charity shop whilst providing operational management across all three charity shops. The postholder will lead by example, support and develop 5 Charity Shop Assistants and volunteers across 3 sites, oversee retail administration, maximise income, ensure compliance with charity procedures and work closely with the Board of Trustees to continually improve the retail operation.
- Hold an IOSH Managing Safely qualification or be willing to work towards.
- Experience in retail supervision or management.
- Experience leading staff and volunteers.
- Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills.
- Experience using HR systems such as BrightHR for rotas and leave management or the ability to learn quickly.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to analyse sales information and produce reports.
- PAT testing qualification or willingness to undertake training.
- Willingness to travel between shops.
- Charity retail, online selling and volunteer management.
- Experience of online selling platforms.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
