Caritas House is a new supported accommodation project for 19 single homeless men located in Miles Platting, which opened in February 2025. It is staffed 24 hours a day, with single cover overnight. The project provides high quality and accessible accommodation for people who need some support before moving on to their own independent accommodation.

You will be joining a small, dedicated team who are committed to providing excellent service and making a positive difference to the lives of people who are homeless. You will provide a friendly and professional welcome to residents coming in and out of the building, as well as spending time with them when they are in communal areas. You will support residents by signposting them to support services, respond to any need for first aid as well as abiding by service procedures and guidance.

You will ensure high standards of cleanliness and comfort in the building to create a welcoming atmosphere and take pride in the appearance of the building and facilities. You will assist in the smooth running of the accommodation by maintaining a safe environment, monitoring CCTV, answering telephone calls and undertaking health and safety checks. You will also log information and provide a detailed handover. Additionally, you will maintain the security of the building and report any incidents or accidents to on call staff/emergency services.

Experience of working within a residential setting or similar and interaction with people that are homeless is essential.
