These two new roles will add capacity to our Outreach Support work, joining two colleagues who are currently supporting people to access private rented accommodation as part of the Refugee Homelessness Prevention Project across Greater Manchester. This area of work is relatively new to Boaz, and is continuing after a successful pilot last year. Through this pilot, we worked with over 200 people and supported 92 people to move into accommodation and sustain a tenancy. We saw referrals continue to rise last year, and know that this work is needed now more than ever.

The two new roles will involve working with single adults recently granted refugee status who have been assessed as having no priority need following a homelessness assessment and are rough sleeping, at risk of rough sleeping, or living in off-the-streets accommodation. The successful candidates will also work with families who have been granted refugee status and who are living in asylum hotels or temporary accommodation and need support to find onward accommodation.
