Driving a minibus of our members living with Dementia to friendship and activity groups across Manchester. The role involves picking up members from their homes and dropping them back afterwards. A high level of communication skills and care is involved as well as possessing excellent driving skills, awareness of health & safety and a clear driving licence.
We are looking for someone with experience of driving a minibus and must have the D1 classification on their driving licence. This role would suit an ex-carer or someone who has possibly worked in the community and who truly loves engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. This role may appeal to a semi-retired person.
This is a part-time role; we are looking to recruit a casual member of staff to cover our existing drivers' holidays, which could mean 1-2 shifts per week. Shifts are typically 3.5 hours from 9 am to 4 pm on a variety of days between Monday and Friday.
Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check.
