The Caribbean & African Health Network (CAHN) is a Black-led organisation set up in 2017 to address long standing health disparities within our community.

We have grown to a national organisation leading the call to challenge and address the wider social determinants and reduce health inequalities for people of Caribbean & African heritage.

CAHN’s mission is to end health inequalities and wider disparities for Caribbean and African people in a generation.

Our vision is to ensure that the strategic and operational actions of service providers across health and cross sector agencies and commissioners, lead to racial and social justice for Black people.

This is a unique leadership opportunity to shape CAHN's fundraising strategy, secure transformational partnerships, and deliver an outstanding portfolio of flagship events that inspire supporters, celebrate excellence, and bring communities together.

The postholder will lead and coordinate CAHN’s fundraising and events activities, ensuring the organisation has a diverse and sustainable income base.

The postholder will identify opportunities, develop bids, cultivate relationships, and oversee delivery of fundraising plans.

This includes working closely with senior leadership, program leads, and external partners to secure income that supports CAHN’s health, well-being, research, and community engagement programmes.

The postholder will also be responsible for embedding strong fundraising systems, processes, and performance monitoring to support long-term organisational growth.

To lead and coordinate CAHN’s fundraising and events activities, ensuring the organisation has a diverse and sustainable income base.

The postholder will identify opportunities, develop bids, cultivate relationships and oversee delivery of fundraising plans.

This includes working closely with senior leadership, programme leads and external partners to secure income that supports CAHN’s
health, wellbeing, research and community engagement programmes.

The postholder will also be responsible for embedding strong fundraising systems, processes and performance monitoring to support long-term organisational growth.

The role contributes to annual income of £750k+ and builds a pipeline capable of generating over £3 million over three years.
