The role

Our Systems Change and Engagement team works to address the root causes of poverty and inequalities and recognise and support Community Power through enabling collaboration, campaigning, voice and influence. Within our Systems Change and Engagement team, this role will be dedicated to strengthening our approach to gathering and using community insight and data to inform our work and influence strategic decision-making.

You will have a wide-ranging remit around influencing change through community-led data, research and insight. This will include the co-design and implementation of engagement projects with community organisations and citizens who are passionate about influencing change. You will work closely with our members to support them to gather and use insight from our communities, making community data and insight accessible and supporting groups to turn ideas into action. Finally, you will support the development of systems to capture data and insight across Action Together’s work, analysing and reporting on what we learn, to ensure community insight leads to tangible change.

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who:

  • Brings together analytical, creative and relational talents.
  • Can work flexibly and creatively, confident both analysing data and facilitating communities to turn ideas into action.
  • Can make sense of complex information, analyse data and communicate it accessibly to generate learning and action.
  • Is driven by social justice and addressing the root causes of health inequalities and wider systemic issues faced by local communities.
  • Is rooted in community and understands the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise Sector.
  • Is a networker and can easily build strong, trusting relationships with people and organisations.
  • Is an excellent communicator and effective in producing reports and presentations to a wide variety of audiences.
