Clinical Assessor/Counsellor x3 – Fixed term contract for 6 months (possible extension depending on funding)

Due to the increasing demand for 1point services, we are looking for additional Clinical Assessor/Counsellors to join our team who are able to work online and face to face and be available at flexible hours to meet client and service need, including evening and weekends.
Working collaboratively with our additional services, statutory mental health services and other external agencies, you will assess client suitability for a range of talking therapies. A key part of the role involves delivering psychoeducational input—providing clients with clear, accessible information, advice, and guidance to support informed decision-making about therapeutic options. You will also monitor clients’ engagement with remedial support and contribute to their understanding of the therapeutic process. In addition, successful candidates will work closely with service managers to deliver structured therapeutic interventions as part of ongoing remedial counselling provision.
The successful applicants will have a recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy and have experience of working with a wide range of diverse generic clients in a range of different therapeutic environments. Applicants will also have experience of providing initial client assessments, a confident telephone manner and be able to work effectively with computerised databases. Excellent working conditions provided including monthly supervision.
