About Langworthy Cornerstone

Langworthy Cornerstone Association (LCA) is a community-based charity and Healthy Living Centre supporting residents across Langworthy and the wider Salford area. We deliver a wide range of health, wellbeing, social inclusion, volunteering, arts, community development and cost-of-living support activities, working closely with local residents and our partners across the voluntary, statutory and community sectors.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Delivery Manager to provide operational leadership across our community services, projects and programmes. You will be responsible for ensuring services are well planned, effectively managed, appropriately staffed and delivered safely and to a high standard. You will lead and support staff and volunteers, oversee funded projects, monitor performance, manage resources and contribute to the continued development of LCA’s services. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Management Team, you will help turn our strategic priorities into effective operational delivery and ensure that our services respond to local community needs.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day service and project delivery.
  • Manage, supervise and develop staff and volunteers.
  • Oversee funded projects, including targets, outcomes, budgets and reporting.
  • Monitor service performance, quality and impact.
  • Support funding applications, tenders and new project development.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, risk management and data protection requirements are met.
  • Develop positive relationships with funders, commissioners, partners and community organisations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and service development.
  • Support financial and resource management.
  • Contribute to Senior Management Team discussions and organisational planning.

About You

You will have significant experience of managing community, health, wellbeing, voluntary-sector or public-sector services, together with strong leadership and project-management skills. You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of managing and developing staff.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects or services.
  • Experience of working to targets, outcomes, budgets and deadlines.
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of monitoring performance and producing reports.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, risk management and data protection.
  • Experience of partnership and stakeholder working.
  • A commitment to equality, inclusion and improving outcomes for local communities.
  • An appropriate Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undertake one where required.

Experience of working within a charity, Healthy Living Centre, community organisation or with NHS/local-authority commissioners would be advantageous.
