Action Staffing Ltd is seeking a creative and organized Preschool Room Leader to spearhead the educational journey of our oldest age group. This role is perfect for a practitioner who is passionate about school readiness and delivering a high-impact EYFS curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Room Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the preschool room, ensuring a high-quality learning environment.
- School Readiness: Develop and implement advanced educational programs focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills.
- Staff Mentoring: Lead and support a team of practitioners, conducting peer observations and modeling "best practice" in Early Years teaching.
- Assessments: Manage the tracking and reporting of children’s progress, ensuring all "transition to school" reports are completed to a high standard.
- Safeguarding: Maintain strict health and safety standards and ensure the wellbeing of all children is prioritized.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualifications: Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years (Level 5 or Degree in Early Childhood Studies is highly desirable).
- Experience: Proven experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner, specifically within a preschool/pre-prep setting.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and Ofsted inspection requirements.
- Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and the ability to inspire young learners.
