Play Worker

We are actively hunting for a number of playworker’s to work in our busy breakfast and after school care provision. The suitable applicant will need to have the specific skills and qualifications as listed below as well as to ensure they are delivering a high standard of care for children aged 3-11 years, working as part of a multi – disciplinary team and in partnership with parents.

Skills / Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Early Years Childcare or play work
• Minimum of 1 years working in a childcare setting.
• Experience working with children aged 3 – 11 yrs
• Paediatric First Aid
• Knowledge of Child Protection procedures
• Equal Opportunities and confidentiality issues.
• Experience of working with parents
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with parents and professionals
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexible approach
• Commitment to providing a high quality service.
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Desirable: NVQ 3 in Early years childcare or play work
