We are currently recruiting an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join a well-established nursery in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Early Years professional who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role within a supportive and high-quality childcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing a nursery room to a high standard
  • Planning and delivering high-quality learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Supporting, mentoring, and supervising Nursery Practitioners
  • Acting as a Key Person and overseeing children’s learning and development
  • Ensuring safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare requirements are met at all times
  • Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and the nursery management team
  • Completing observations, assessments, and learning journals
  • Maintaining high standards of practice, care, and compliance

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or experienced Nursery Practitioner
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
  • Leadership and team-management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
