Key Responsibilities

  • Exceptional Care: Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that caters to the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the children.
  • Curriculum Planning: Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities that support children’s development across all areas of the EYFS framework.
  • Key Person Duties: Act as a Key Person for a designated group of children, building secure attachments, tracking their milestones, and maintaining their learning journals.
  • Parent Partnership: Build strong, communicative relationships with parents and carers, providing daily feedback on their child’s progress and well‑being.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure all setting policies, Health & Safety guidelines, and Safeguarding protocols are strictly followed at all times.

Requirements

  • Qualification: A recognized Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, BTEC).
  • Experience: Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or early years setting.
  • Knowledge: A solid working understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child protection procedures.
  • Attitude: A proactive, energetic, and caring personality with a true passion for early years education.
