We are currently recruiting for an experienced and confident Nursery Manager to provide maternity cover (9–12 months) for a well-established setting in Dagenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with a proven track record to guide a dedicated team, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained in line with Ofsted Outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full operational management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), managing safeguarding across the setting.
- Lead and inspire the staff team to deliver exceptional education and care.
- Drive continuous improvement and high-quality teaching in line with the EYFS.
- Maintain robust systems for audits, risk assessments, and health & safety.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, external agencies, and the local community.
- Manage administrative processes including staffing, rotas, and budget awareness.
Requirements:
- Essential: Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5+ is strongly preferred).
- Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or highly experienced Deputy Manager.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS, SEND Code of Practice, and Ofsted expectations.
- Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
