Are you an experienced Senior Nursery Nurse or Room Leader looking to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a strong, confident Room Leader to head up a department within a high-quality nursery in Reading. In this role, you will lead by example, mentoring a team of practitioners while ensuring the highest standards of care and education are delivered in line with the EYFS. This is a perfect opportunity for a Level 3 qualified practitioner ready to manage their own room and shape the learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Nursery Practitioners, ensuring the room runs smoothly.
- Curriculum Delivery: Oversee the planning and delivery of engaging activities that meet EYFS requirements.
- Standards: Ensure high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and safeguarding are maintained daily.
- Partnerships: Act as a key point of contact for parents, providing feedback on child development and settling‐in periods.
- Operations: Assist the Nursery Manager with administrative duties and deputise when required.
- Qualification: Must hold a full and relevant Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Diploma in Early Years or Childcare (or higher).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursery setting, with some prior experience in a senior or leadership role preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of the EYFS, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate a team.
- Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Reading, Berkshire.
