We are currently recruiting an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join a well-established nursery in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Early Years professional who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role within a supportive and high-quality childcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing a nursery room to a high standard
- Planning and delivering high-quality learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Supporting, mentoring, and supervising Nursery Practitioners
- Acting as a Key Person and overseeing children’s learning and development
- Ensuring safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare requirements are met at all times
- Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and the nursery management team
- Completing observations, assessments, and learning journals
- Maintaining high standards of practice, care, and compliance
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)
- Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or experienced Nursery Practitioner
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
- Leadership and team-management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
