We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join a vibrant nursery team in the heart of Reading. This role is ideal for someone committed to providing high-quality childcare and helping children hit their learning milestones within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
- Plan exciting, age-appropriate activities based on the EYFS curriculum.
- Maintain accurate learning journals and conduct observations to track child progress.
- Ensure rigorous safeguarding procedures and health & safety standards are met at all times.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers to support home learning.
- Assist with daily routines including feeding, changing, and settling children.
Requirements
- Qualification: Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Diploma in Childcare or Early Years Education (or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience in a nursery, preschool, or kindergarten setting is preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted standards, and Safeguarding policies.
- Clearance: An enhanced DBS check is required for this role (we can assist with the application).
- Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Reading, Berkshire.
