We are recruiting for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly and supportive nursery team in Leeds. If you are a qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator passionate about child development, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a high-quality setting.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Care & Education: Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years.
- Activity Planning: Create and deliver engaging activities that meet the requirements of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
- Child Development: Observe, assess, and record children's progress, acting as a Key Person to a small group of children.
- Parent Partnership: Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding their child's day and development.
- Safeguarding: Adhere strictly to safeguarding and health & safety policies at all times.
- Teamwork: Support the Room Leader and management team in maintaining high standards of care.
Skills and Experience Required
- Essential: Must hold a minimum Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Diploma in Childcare / Early Years (or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience working in a day nursery, preschool, or school setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: Good working knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted regulations, and Safeguarding procedures.
- Attributes: Reliable, enthusiastic, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Checks: The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
