Action Staffing Ltd is excited to recruit for a dynamic Early Years Team Lead to join a creative and high-energy holiday camp team in East Finchley (N2). This role is perfect for a Level 3 qualified professional who loves performing arts, play-based learning, and leading a team in a fun, fast-paced environment. If you are a confident communicator who excels at building relationships with parents and inspiring young children (ages 3–5), this is the perfect short-term leadership role for you.
Location: Plane Tree Walk, London (N2 9JP)
Pay: £128.25 per day
Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract (School Holidays)
Dates: 30th March – 10th April (Excluding bank holidays & weekends)
Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead a group of children aged 3–5, overseeing their safety, engagement, and wellbeing.
- Management: Take ownership of group registers, security codes, and daily sign-in/out procedures.
- Parent Relations: Conduct professional daily handovers with parents and caregivers.
- Activity Delivery: Deliver fun, play-based sessions that foster confidence and early development.
- Team Supervision: Mentor and support Activity Leaders and Assistants, ensuring consistent safeguarding and behaviour management.
- Safeguarding: Act as the primary point of contact for group concerns, escalating to the Camp Manager as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Qualification: Level 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification is Essential (to meet Ofsted requirements).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience working with the Early Years age group.
- Certifications: Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clearance: Enhanced DBS check is required.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
