Action Staffing is recruiting for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join a vibrant and welcoming nursery located at St Peter's Church, Acton Green (W4). Situated right on the border of Chiswick and Acton, this nursery offers a fantastic community feel. We are looking for a strong leader who can support the Manager in running the setting while modeling excellent practice in the rooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Support: Assist the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery, including staff deployment, rotas, and opening/closing duties.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor the staff team, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained at all times.
- Curriculum Delivery: Oversee the delivery of the EYFS, ensuring observations, assessments, and planning are of a high quality.
- Parent Partnership: Build strong, trusting relationships with families in the local Acton Green community.
- Compliance: Support with Ofsted readiness, Safeguarding, and Health & Safety checks.
Requirements
- Qualification: Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification (Level 4/5 or Degree desirable).
- Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Practitioner, Room Leader, or Deputy Manager.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS, Safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
- Leadership: A positive, proactive, and "can-do" attitude.
