Action Renewables is excited to announce the recruitment for Graduate Trading Analyst. The main requirements and responsibilities of the role include:
- Construction and execution of bids in the electricity markets
- Monitoring and reporting performance
- Conducting analysis on market variables
In this role, you will focus on trading activities for ARES Market Services Ltd as the electricity markets service division of Action Renewables.
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, economics, physics, data science or similar
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced trading environment
- Attention to detail in analysing data and preparing reports
- Proactive approach to continuous learning and staying up to date on industry trends and best practices
Desirable Criteria:
- Additional certifications or coursework in energy markets, trading, or risk management
- Market knowledge with some understanding of electricity markets and trading principles
- Familiarity with trading platforms, order management systems, and data analytics tools used in electricity trading
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and present findings to non-technical audiences
- Experience using software or programming languages (e.g. Excel, Python, etc.) and proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling
- Experience with trading software, market data providers, and executing trades in real-time trading platforms is beneficial
