We are seekin g a Senior Youth Worker to join our Young Lives service. The successful candidate will support the Project Manager to provide specialised practical, emotional and social support for children and young people from asylum seeking and refugee families. Duties will include delivering and supporting activity sessions and administrative work. This role requires the post holder to work closely with other Youth Workers and play a key role in supporting and guiding volunteers involved in the service.

Action Foundation is an award-winning charity that supports and empowers asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants in the North East. We deliver services across the North East, helping more than 3,000 people each year overcome barriers, build community connections and develop skills for independence.

Reports to: Project Manager, Young Lives

Hours: 35 hours per week, full time

Location: Newcastle and Gateshead with some local travel

Contract: Permanent contract, subject to passing a three‑month probation period
