Here at Action For Humanity (AFH), we are looking for Donor Care Outbound Operators to join us at our Manchester head office. You will join us on a part-time, casual basis, working on available shifts, for £12.60 per hour.
AFH is an NGO that provides aid and assistance to people affected by natural and man-made disasters. Our vision is a world of crises-resilient communities. Our mission is to mobilise and respond to emergencies and critical needs through humanitarian, development, and peace-building action, helping affected communities survive, recover and build a better future.
Our Donor Care Outbound Operators’ main responsibility will be to call our existing donors and update them on our campaigns. The role will be target based, and operators will be expected to pitch our charitable programmes to donors to generate donations. Full training will be given, including pitch training and donation processing. Other responsibilities will revolve around enhancing customer service and maximising donor retention through providing streamlined database and administrative support to manage the diverse income generation streams stemming from our fundraising initiatives. You will play a vital role in advancing our humanitarian efforts, ensuring that we maximise our impact and sustain our mission to create a better world for those in need.
Responsibilities
- Initiate proactive outreach to donors to maximise income generation through outbound calling;
- Showcase in-depth knowledge of Action For Humanity’s projects to inform and engage donors;
- Effectively handle incoming calls and address donor inquiries;
- Ensure strict adherence to GDPR regulations, promptly responding to donor preferences across communication channels;
- Facilitate communication with donors on various topics, such as missed donations, renewals, and pledges via multiple communication methods;
- Oversee donation processing systems, including form scanning, allocation, acknowledgment, and recordkeeping;
- Maintain and update real-time event donation tracking spreadsheets;
- Corresponding with donors in appropriate format (Telephone, E-Mail, Letters).
What we are looking for in our Donor Care Outbound Operators
- Education: Minimum of GCSE education.
- Experience: 1 year of customer service/sales experience (Essential)
- Shifts/Timings: Thursday & Friday (15:00 to 19:00); Saturday (12:00 to 18:00); Sunday (12:00 to 16:00); Ad-hoc work may also be available throughout the week
- Skills: Adaptability
- Languages: Strong written and spoken English essential
