Salary: £26,000 per annum.

Location: Homebased. Must be located permanently in the UK.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract for 12 months, 35 hours per week.

A bit about the role: We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring Team Leader Administration who can work credibly to manage a small team to provide an effective, efficient administrative service that is flexible to meet the needs of the Talent and Development Team, applying Action for Children’s policies, procedures and systems to enable the achievement of service objectives. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people who need it most.

How you’ll help to create brighter futures:

  • Leading and managing a small team of administrative staff across the Talent and Development Team to deliver high quality, customer focused support services that facilitate the achievement of the team.
  • Work closely with the senior management team to support the preparation of briefing papers (including referring to and interpreting statistical data), reports, communications and presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with management colleagues to contribute and deliver against the management team agenda.
  • Manage the delivery of a range of administrative services.
  • Developing and enhancing capability within the team and service with the use of organisational systems and processes.

Let’s talk about you:

  • Business Administration or Management S/NVQ Level 3, equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record in the use of relevant specialist IT packages to produce reports and presentations.
  • Experience of setting and achieving deadlines and highlighting to senior management issues of risk.
  • Demonstrable experience of providing a confidential, professional service and to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role.
  • Proven track record of liaising with senior internal and external stakeholders to co-ordinate the delivery of key activities.
  • Ability to provide direction to a team, utilising a range of management styles to allow staff members to develop and achieve their goals.
