Salary: £24,546.32 per annum

Location: Mumbles, Swansea

Contract/Hours: Fixed Term for 12 months, Part-time, 28 hours per week (4 days)

About the Service:

Ty Laura serves as a vital resource for families in need of respite care and supports children and young people with additional learning needs and health needs that have a daily impact on the young people’s lives on a minimum of 2 nights per month basis, supporting up to 4 children a night, across 6 days a week. So far this year, we have supported 47 children offering overnight stays and holiday provision, with indirect support to 33 siblings of the young people we support. This ensures that the services we offer have a wide-ranging impact on the entire family as well as the community. We have five uniquely designed bedrooms to interest each child’s personality, which will make them feel comfortable and at 'home' during their short stay. Our aim is to provide opportunities and experiences that widen the individuals sense of belonging through our individualised support.

About the role:

As an Administrator Officer you'll be a key member of our Ty Laura Short Breaks Project. You will play a vital role in providing admin and finance support. You’ll need flexibility to meet the needs of the 24/7 service, with most of your hours worked between Monday to Friday.

Let’s talk about you:

  • Experience of a similar administrative role with excellent communication skills is essential.
  • Strong IT Skills and experience of using various IT systems including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • To be a confident communicator and able to converse with senior professionals from a variety of backgrounds.
  • The ability to take minutes at meetings.
  • Good prioritisation and time management ensuring deadlines are met, whilst maintaining the ability to handle sensitive data.
  • Experience of financial systems including Goods Received Notes, purchase ordering and budget would be desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience of social media and digital media would be desirable.
