A bit about the role:
Are you naturally empathetic, focused and passionate about changing the lives of children and their families throughout Scotland for the better? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Family Functional Therapy Supervisor to join our Functional Family Therapy team in Ayrshire. This is a unique and rewarding role with the opportunity to make a huge personal impact.
The Functional Family Therapy Team provide weekly, homeābased family therapy sessions to clients utilizing the Functional Family Therapy model. The service supports families with young people at risk of being placed in care between the ages of 11 and 18.
You will work towards the agreed goals of the commissioned service whilst providing effective and supportive line management and weekly supervision to the Functional Family Therapists (FFT).
As a Functional Family Therapy Supervisor, you will:
- Lead the FFT service and develop service plans to ensure that the needs of young people referred to the service are met.
- Manage the performance of the service so that the strategic aims of Action for Children and partner local authorities and trusts are achieved with regard to delivery of FFT as an evidenceābased programme.
- Contribute to leading on the development of higher standards of evidence underpinning Action for Children services to vulnerable children and young people through collaborative work with the practice Improvement department.
- Work in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of a good multiāagency service and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with those key stakeholders.
- Line manage FFT therapists and take responsibility for ensuring FFT therapists adhere to FFT principles and FFT analytic processes.
- Maintain a case load of families.
Let's talk about you:
- Fully trained in Functional Family Therapy and significant experience of delivering Functional Family Therapy.
- Experience of managing and promoting therapy services.
- Degree or relevant professional qualification or equivalent in Family Therapy, Social Work, psychology, education or equivalent qualification.
- Appropriate registration where relevant.
- Proven track record of working effectively and flexibly with families.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures.
- Line management and clinical supervisory experience.
- Experience of multiāagency participation.
- Ability to balance management duties and clinical caseload.
- Experience of outcome based, data driven service reporting.
