Salary: £25,949.00 - £28,100 dependent on experience and qualifications. You will also receive £50 per sleep when required.

Location: Holywell, Clwyd, Wales.

Contract/Hours: Permanent Full-Time 37 Hrs per week.

A bit about the role:

We’re looking for Residential Support Workers, welcoming both experienced staff and those just starting their careers to join our brand-new children’s residential home, offering an exciting opportunity to help shape a service from the ground up. In this role, you’ll provide emotional support, practical guidance, and mentorship to young people, helping them build confidence and essential life skills. You’ll ensure their safety and wellbeing by maintaining a secure environment, following safeguarding procedures, managing challenging behaviours, and responding to emergencies. You’ll also promote independence by supporting personal care, household tasks, and individual needs, while accurately recording activities, incidents, and progress.

  • Having a positive proactive outlook in providing support to children.
  • Taking responsibility for the personal care and the daily needs of the young people.
  • Being resilient in supporting children through challenging situations.
  • Being responsible for safeguarding of young people.
  • Maintaining accurate records.
  • Attendance at professional meetings including reviews, court work etc.

We are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have:

  • A positive and confident approach to engaging with children and young people.
  • Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address problems, individually and in a team setting.
  • Demonstrate emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role.
  • Possess a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or recognised equivalent, and if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us. Full support will be provided.
