Role: Family Support Worker

Salary: Β£24,309.07 per annum

Location: Fakenham, Norfolk

Contract/Hours: Fixed Term Contract – Until 31st March 2027 - Full time 37 hours per week.

A bit about the role:

Norfolk's Early Childhood and Family Service (ECFS) offers support to children aged 0-5 years old and their families. The support is provided through group sessions, parenting programs and through home visiting. The service works in partnership with families and other key organisations and provides group activity sessions which cover a variety of topics such as parenting, improving mental health and keeping a child safe.

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic forward thinker, confident in leading and bringing fresh ideas and inspiration to the role.

As a Family Support Worker:

  • Providing a high-quality service to children, young people, and their families by understanding their needs and delivering appropriate interventions.
  • Delivering to groups as well as working with families on a one-to-one basis.
  • Achieving the highest standards of safeguarding, whether through supporting the children and young people who come into contact with our services, or by appropriately reporting concerns about any child or young person.
  • Working in partnership with other agencies to keep children and young people at the centre of our work.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and families to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Listening to children, young people, and families.
  • Managing your own administration and updating systems.

Let’s talk about you:

  • Diploma Level 2 or equivalent in Early Years or relevant study area.
  • Experience of working in a Health, Early Years or Social Care Setting.
  • Experience of undertaking assessments, planning, and delivering both group and 1-1 interventions and case recording.
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office and ability to use IT systems.
  • Compassion and dedication to our cause – keeping children and young people safe and happy.
  • Access to a suitable method of transport to enable the duties of the role to be carried out (essential).
