Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)

Location: Leiston

Salary: up to Β£27,299 per annum depending on experience

Contract/Hours: Temporary/Full Time – 40 hours per week (12 months)

Closing date: Midnight on the 30th of June 2026

A bit about the role

As a Level 3 practitioner, you'll support high quality early years care and education in a nurturing, play based environment, helping children learn, develop and thrive.

Key Expectations:

  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
  • Support children's learning, development and well-being through play
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and the team
  • Observe, assess and contribute to children's learning journeys
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive and caring environment
  • Work as part of a team to ensure high standards of care and safeguarding

What we need from you

In the role of Early Years Practitioner (Level 3), we're ideally looking for someone who has:

  • A Level 3 early years and childcare qualification (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • A passion for continuous learning and growth, Aligned with our core values and the Spring career pathway
  • An understanding of children's development needs (0 to 5 years)
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to excellence

A Bit about The Nursery

Spring Layfield is based at Layfield Primary School, caring for children aged 3 months to 4 years with a wrap around and holiday provision including breakfast and after school clubs for children up to 11 years.

Our two bright, child-centred rooms encourage independence and exploration, with free flow access to beautiful outdoor areas, a forest school, and allotment. We're proud of our strong partnership with the primary school being fully engaged with the local community.
