A bit about the role
Do you want to be part of an exciting, innovative youth work team across Elgin?
Action for Children are excited to announce we have successfully been appointed to lead a brand-new initiative – the Elgin Active Youth Engagement (AYE) Bus! We’ll work in partnership with Stagecoach, Elgin Neighbourhood Board, Moray Council Community Safety, Police Scotland and Moray Pathways Local Employability Partnership.
The AYE Bus, a double-decker mobile youth centre generously donated by Stagecoach, is part-funded for its first 12 months by the Elgin Neighbourhood Board. This unique project is designed to offer early intervention and support for young people across Elgin, helping to create safer, more inclusive public spaces.
We’re now recruiting a passionate and experienced Community Development Coordinator to lead and coordinate youth-focused activities on the bus. The role offers the chance to work directly with young people by offering advice and identifying those who may be vulnerable, ensuring they are safeguarded and supported.
Be part of shaping a new chapter in youth support across Moray – onboard the AYE Bus!
