Salary: £27,600 per annum (pro-rata)

Location: Bury, Lancashire

Contract/Hours: Part Time Permanent 28.5 hours a week.

Term Time - Thursday (12:45pm - 8:15pm), Friday (1:45pm - 9:30pm) & Saturday & Sunday (10am - 6pm). School Holidays- Working 4 days throughout Monday - Friday, 9am - 4:30pm. Do not work Bank Holidays.

Term Time Location is The Elton Centre & Sunnybank Community Centre term time & Bury Athletics Club in the school holidays.

In the role of Children Services Team Leader, you'll be leading and supporting a team in delivering fun activities & encouraging friendships, fun & choice in how to spend their time, giving encouragement to be part of their local communities & supporting parent/carers to have break.

How you'll help to create brighter futures:

  • Working as a team and leading from the front.
  • Working with a diverse group of disabled children and young people and delivering exciting social activities such as baking, arts 'n' crafts, sports, games and going out in the local community.
  • Encouraging children and young people to make friends, enjoy their social time and be part of their local communities, as any other child and young person would.
  • Monitoring and assessing individual progress and development through diary sheets and care plans.
  • Ensuring that children and young people are nurtured in a safe environment.

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience in working with disabled children and young people and know to respond and meet family's needs.
  • Experience/knowledge of planning and delivering activities for children and young people, preferable disabled children, and young people - but this is not essential.
  • Innovative ideas for activities and ways to improve.
  • A belief that every child should have the same opportunities in life.
  • Full training provided free to support you in your role.
