Salary: £25,949 per annum (pro rata) £13.45 hourly equivalent

Contract/Hours: 16 hours per week – with flexibility around working times in agreement with the Home Manager

A bit about the role
We’re looking for a cleaner to maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment at our residential home in Chesterfield. Working 16 hours per week, you’ll clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and communal areas, including regular deep cleans, while maintaining appropriate cleaning supplies and standards. You may also support with laundry and ironing when required.

What you do could make a difference:
- Undertaking cleaning of designated premises, work and service areas, as detailed in the cleaning schedule ensuring completion within the set timescales.
- Maintaining a stock of cleaning supplies is necessary to complete tasks and where necessary, alert management to the need to replenish the stock.
- Being responsible for the safe use and storage of cleaning materials, in line with Health & Safety at Work Regulations and Action for Children policies.
- Maintaining a clean environment, including cleaning and safely packing away kitchen equipment and toys.

- Excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations.
- Good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
- The ability to work on your own initiative when required.
- A good knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety at work would be beneficial
