Salary:£25,949 per annum(pro-rata for part-time) - £13.45 per hour
Location:Bath
Contract/Hours:Permanent, Part-time – 10 hours per week – hours are flexible and can agreed between core role operational hours of Monday to Friday – 9am-5pm

We are a 5 bedroom short breaks home of 8 to 18-year-old children with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or complex needs.
About the role
As an Operative Handyperson, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our facility safe, functional and comfortable for young people we support as well as our staff.
This role will be a mixture of planned maintenance, and responding to urgent repairs, ensuring the internal and external environment, remains a secure and welcoming space.
In addition, you’ll collaborate with external contractors as and when required, whilst reporting any larger issues that require specialist intervention and ensuring all repairs comply with health and safety regulations.
How you’ll create brighter futures
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance across the home
- Ensure the property is safe and functional
- Perform routine inspections and identify areas requiring attention
- Keep the indoor and outdoor arears tidy and hazard-free
- Communicate with the team and external contractors to arrange specialist repairs as and when required
Let’s talk about you
- Experience in general maintenance and repairs in a previous handyman role
- Knowledge of basic health and safe procedures and regulations
- Ability to work independently and problem solve effectively
- A proactive approach with a strong attention to detail
- Experience of working to specific instructions and schedules
- Excellent communication skills
