Salary: Ā£24,309.07 per annum (Ā£10,512 pro‐rata) – From the 1st of April 2026 your salary will be Ā£25,949 per annum (Ā£11,221 pro‐rata)

Location: Rhydyfelin, Rhondda Cynon Taf

Contract / Hours: Permanent, Part Time – 16 hours per week – Tuesday to Saturday between core hours of 09:00 and 22:00 (3 hours per session)

RCT Community Short Breaks allows children to enjoy a safe, meaningful experience and an opportunity has arisen for Community Short Breaks Workers to join our dedicated, friendly, warm and professional team. The Community Short Breaks Project provides support to children and young people with disabilities, including 1:1 support, small groups and community activities. We are ready to support and develop you to build on the experience you already have. We would love to hear from you if you want to help change lives by working at the forefront of child‐centred care.

About you:

Our job description for the Community Short Breaks Worker outlines the requirements of the role but the 'must‐haves' are:

  • Experience of working with children/young people with disabilities is desirable but not essential.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care/Playwork (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
  • Flexibility to work a variation of session patterns.
