Role: Advocacy Practitioner
Salary: £27,000 per annum, plus £3333.00 London Allowance
Location: London Borough of Barnet and Greater London (Hybrid) with some locations further away.
You will need to be able to travel regularly within and outside London.
Contract/Hours:Permanent Full time - 37 hours a week, some flexibility is required for meetings after 5pm and some weekend work.
Interviews will be held on Monday 24th August in central London.

A bit about the role
Our Advocacy Service, based in London, promotes and facilitates the participation of children and young people in decisions made about them.
You will be joining a passionate and dedicated team, working as an Advocacy Practitioner you will have a positive impact on the lives of children and young people across London.

What does the role entail?
By delivering advocacy services to children and young people looked after and leaving care that promotes and facilitates their participation in decisions made about them in accordance with organisational policy, procedure, and National Standards for the provision of children's advocacy services in partnership with social care professionals.
How will you make a difference?
- By providing a statutory service and voices are heard for children and young adults aged 0-25+ years of age.
- By ensuring a high-quality outreach children's rights service to children and young people.
- By delivering and promoting a Children's Rights service based on principles.
- By keeping abreast of new policy or legislative changes, through research and training.
- By providing children and young people with relevant information about their rights and entitlements including, developing and disseminate child friendly information.
- By retaining accurate and contemporaneous records and produce written reports and provide quarterly reports to senior management.
What will you need?
- Level 3 in health and social care or equivalent
- Experience working with children and young people. In particular children who have been in contact with social services, care leavers, complex needs, disability, and mental health.
- The ability to give advice and guidance is essential.
