What we need you to do:

  • We are looking for dedicated reliable volunteers to assist within our services.
  • We are particularly keen for volunteers with an interest in helping us develop our young people's services.
  • The ideal volunteer will support with groups taking place in our family hub buildings.
  • This could include supporting play between children and carers within the group, promoting learning opportunities associated with the activities offered and helping set up and develop activities for teenagers.
  • We also would need the volunteer to signpost group attendees to appropriate members of staff for support and advice.
  • The ideal volunteer will also be willing to help staff set up and clear away the activities from the group, you may also be required to assist the staff in preparing snacks.

Our service generally operates Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm with some opportunities for early evening and weekend support as we continually develop.

As part of Action for Children's Safeguarding Policy we will expect all volunteers to undergo a disclosure check. This will be organised by project staff.

What we ask of you:

  • To provide two references from non-family members and other relevant documents related to the role.
  • To keep to all the charity’s policies and guidelines.
  • To complete an induction and any training relating to the role.
