We’re looking for a Finance & Payroll Officer to support the day-to-day financial operations of Action for Carers Surrey.

This is an opportunity to use your finance skills to help a local charity deliver life-changing support to unpaid carers across Surrey.

As Finance & Payroll Officer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our finance function running smoothly.

Working closely with our Head of Finance, you’ll support a range of financial activities including purchase and sales ledger processing, reconciliations, payroll administration and audit preparation.

Your work will help ensure the charity remains financially robust and able to provide high-quality support to carers.

We’d love to hear from you if you have

  • Experience in a finance, bookkeeping or accounts support role.
  • A good understanding of purchase ledger processes and basic accounting principles.
  • Experience using financial systems, ideally Xero or similar, together with strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and strong communication skills.
  • The ability to handle confidential financial and personal information with discretion and professionalism.
