We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Yard Marshall / Banksman to join our busy transport operation. This is a key role within the yard, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, trailers, and staff.

The Role:

  • Marshalling and directing HGVs and other vehicles safely within the yard
  • Acting as a banksman for reversing and manoeuvring vehicles
  • Ensuring all movements are carried out in line with health & safety procedures
  • Communicating clearly with drivers and the traffic office
  • Monitoring yard activity and reporting any issues or damages
  • Keeping the yard organised, safe, and running smoothly

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Yard Marshall, Banksman, or similar role (preferred but not essential)
  • Counter Balance Forklift License (expired or in-house license is fine but must have proof)
  • Good awareness of health & safety in a transport environment
  • Confident communicating with drivers and colleagues
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced yard
  • High level of attention to detail and safety
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Applicant MUST have their own transport as we are rural and not on a public transport route

Hours & Pay:

Monday to Friday 12:00 - 19:30 £13.10 per hour, 1 Saturday per month 8am-12pm
