Location - Basingstoke, Hampshire

Hours - Permanent, Full Time 40 hours a week

Monday to Thursday: - 07:30 – 16:30

Friday: - 07:30 – 14:00

Salary - Up to £17.50 per hour

Job Specification:

  • Undertake inspection of parts processed through our clients Inspection department.
  • Work with production and quality engineering to process parts in an effective/timely manner.

Requirements & Experience:

  • Must be able to use Hand Held measuring tools, Linear Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, Surface Finish Testers etc.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and have knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel).
  • Quality control preferably AS9100.
  • Some experience operating a CMM, preferably Mitutoyo.

Main Duties:

  • Goods Inwards, In Process and 100% Final Inspection of Parts utilising various inspection tools/methods.
  • Perform routine visual and dimensional inspection and check for surface defects, cleaning, chipping, etc.
  • Produce inspection reports, compile and complete CofC’s/FAIRS and Customer quality assurance documentation.
  • Complete NCR’s when necessary and support 8D process.
