The Role
As Relationship Manager you will be the bridge between Acting Office and our clients. You will be responsible for deepening relationships, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring that our solutions deliver measurable value. This is a high impact role suited to someone who understands the commercial drivers of professional services firms and who is confident engaging with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders and partners in accountancy firms
- Act as the main point of contact for client engagement, ensuring an exceptional client experience
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts through consultative sales
- Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer to design and implement relationship strategies tailored to client needs
- Understand client business models, operational challenges and accounting software environments
- Provide insights and feedback from clients to inform Acting Office’s service and product development
- Represent Acting Office at client meetings, industry events and networking opportunities
- Produce regular reports on client activity, pipeline and relationship health
Skills and Experience
- Proven track record in business-to-business relationship management, sales or business development, ideally within professional services, software or consultancy
- Strong understanding of accountancy firm structures and operations
- Working knowledge of accounting software platforms and how they support firm operations
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
- Commercially astute, with the ability to identify opportunities and negotiate effectively
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously
