We are seeking a Brand and Content Operations Manager on a full time, permanent basis. Based in one of our facilities in Aberdeen or Norwich (however location is flexible), the Brand and Content Operations Manager is the operational guardian of Acteon's brand, strengthening it by safeguarding the quality, clarity and visual integrity of corporate communications and centrally produced marketing assets. The role oversees adherence to Acteon's brand standards and overarching corporate narrative, ensuring every output reinforces a coherent, strategically aligned story. As an enthusiastic hands-on production specialist, the Manager also translates predefined campaign messaging and materials into polished, on-brand outputs. Campaign leads own the core narrative for these assets; this role adapts and activates those materials across web, social, email and other digital channels to ensure consistent, high-quality execution. The role manages high risk and corporate communications, leads corporate PR and reputational messaging, and ensures alignment with ESG, QHSE, and cultural themes. Managing two specialists, the role drives continuous improvement in content workflows, creative standards, production quality, balancing pace with precision to elevate Acteon's storytelling effectiveness.

Duties & Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the content and creative production team, setting clear priorities, expectations, and development goals.
  • Oversee production workflows, governance, quality standards, and resource allocation across corporate, campaign and event-related content.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex brand, content, or delivery issues.
  • Own content and creative resource prioritisation, negotiating delivery timelines and resolving competing requests to protect production quality and operational clarity.
  • Drive continuous improvement in production efficiency, workflow clarity, and risk reduction.
  • Provide hands-on publishing support across HubSpot, CMS, and digital channels.
  • Manage the corporate communications budget, including forecasting, licence, and vendor oversight, ensuring investments deliver value and ROI.
  • Lead performance reviews, development planning, coaching, and workload oversight for direct reports.

Brand Voice, Corporate Messaging & Content Quality

  • Own the long-term editorial structure and content pillars, ensuring corporate, campaign and ESG content supports a coherent narrative architecture.
  • Maintain Acteon's corporate narrative, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with leadership direction.
  • Write and edit high impact corporate content, including executive messages, web copy, social posts, internal updates, and media statements.
  • Translate complex technical topics into accessible narratives for external audiences.
  • Act as corporate brand guardian, ensuring messaging and tone remain consistent and credible.
  • Ensure all campaign channel content produced aligns with campaign messaging while adhering to brand, tone, and quality standards.
  • Translate core campaign and corporate narratives into creative direction, ensuring that visual execution is aligned with the intended story, tone, and strategic purpose.
  • Manage and maintain quality standards for visual storytelling, narrative clarity, and cross channel brand consistency.
  • Apply performance insights to improve narrative quality, content formats, and storytelling effectiveness.

Brand Governance & Creative Direction

  • Steward Acteon's brand identity, narrative frameworks, and tone-of-voice standards.
  • Maintain and evolve brand tools, templates and guidelines with the Creative Designer and Digital Marketing Officer.
  • Provide oversight for high visibility or high risk materials to ensure brand accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify recurring brand issues and lead improvements in tools, processes, and team capability.
  • Deliver brand training, awareness sessions, and adoption initiatives across the organisation.
  • Lead the development and quality assurance of corporate press releases and thought leadership content.
  • Quality assure media facing campaign content to ensure accuracy and message consistency.
  • Support crisis communications alongside Head of Marketing Communications, Legal, QHSE and Executive stakeholders.

Social Editorial Governance

  • Set the corporate level storytelling approach across Acteon social media channels.
  • Review and approve high risk or high profile social content.
  • Support Campaign Leads to ensure campaign social content is executed accurately, on-brand and on brief.
  • Ensure campaign, corporate and event content integrates into a coherent social calendar.
  • Work with the Digital Content and Channel Executive on scheduling, publishing, and reporting.

Internal Communications

  • Support internal communications for brand, marketing, and corporate initiatives to strengthen employee engagement and experience.

Channel Quality Assurance (QA) & Channel Optimisation

  • Conduct QA checks on digital assets for accuracy, UX compliance, and brand consistency.
  • Set the quality benchmarks for digital readiness, accessibility, UX fundamentals and cross-channel consistency.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Technology and Digital Experience Manager on channel optimisation initiatives.
  • Interpret performance insights, social listening, and media monitoring to refine channel standards and improve content effectiveness over time.

Corporate Responsibility, ESG, and QHSE Communications

  • Support external communications for ESG, QHSE and HR teams, ensuring clear, credible narratives that reflect Acteon's commitments to safety culture, sustainability, social value, and responsible operations.
  • Ensure these themes are integrated into Acteon's broader narrative.
  • Support employer brand and careers communications by aligning HR messaging with Acteon's brand voice and visual identity.
  • Provide quality assurance for ESG, QHSE and careers materials to ensure accuracy, risk awareness, and brand consistency.

Required

  • Hands-on experience in content and production management, including workflow oversight, resource planning, and quality assurance.
  • Strong corporate writing and editing skills, including translating technical content for external audiences.
  • Proven experience in brand governance, visual identity management, narrative development, and tone of voice leadership.
  • Experience providing creative direction, conceptual guidance or narrative-to-visual translation for campaigns or corporate communications.
  • Experience overseeing creative and content specialists, with strong management and coaching skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, particularly with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience directing and quality assuring corporate social media content.
  • Strong understanding of reputation management and crisis communication in partnership with Legal and HSE.
  • Brand governance leadership, including standards, audits, training, and approval processes.
  • Proven team leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and agency/vendor oversight.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, CMS platforms and digital publishing.
  • Knowledge of ESG, sustainability, and safety culture communication.
  • Experience with analytics tools (media monitoring, social listening, brand tracking).
  • Experience developing content strategy, editorial frameworks, or content pillar systems.
  • Experience delivering training or capability-building in content or brand topics.
  • Experience managing budgets and agency retainers/SOWs.
