Advert Pulse, part of Acteon Group, are a market leader in subsea structural monitoring providing highly sophisticated monitoring systems and services to both oil & gas and renewables clients around the globe since 1998. Due to our ambitious growth plans we are looking to strengthen our team in a number of roles. Pulse are looking to hire an Operations Manager on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Wokingham, the Operations Manager will lead operational transformation initiatives across departments. This role will focus on identifying inefficiencies, streamlining processes, and implementing change strategies that enhance team productivity and maximize operational output.
The Change Manager will work closely with leadership, department heads, and employees to drive continuous improvement, ensuring seamless adoption of new ways of working. Additionally, this role will oversee the production of systems that support efficient project delivery, ensuring teams have the tools and workflows necessary for optimal execution.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth assessments of department workflows, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Develop and implement change management strategies to improve overall operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with department leaders to align process improvements with business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing and executing change initiatives that optimize team performance.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of implemented changes.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement to ensure buy-in and adoption of new processes.
- Utilize data-driven insights to support decision-making and continuous process improvements.
- Manage resistance to change by identifying challenges and developing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all change initiatives are aligned with company culture and long-term business goals.
- Oversee the production and implementation of systems that enhance project delivery efficiency.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure that operational systems support timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline project delivery processes, reducing delays and increasing output.
- Lead, develop, and motivate the production, purchasing, warehouse, and maintenance teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and efficient resource allocation.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support them with continuous improvement activities focused on operational excellence.
- Develop and implement lean methodologies and best practices to improve efficiency.
- Analyse project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive change in business processes, implementing change where needed.
- Lead the production planning, execution, and delivery of structural monitoring projects.
- Monitor production progress and adjust plans as necessary to achieve objectives.
- Optimize production, highlighting areas where component/system manufacturing can be streamlined to improve build time and increase standardization.
- Drive supply chain management, establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Required
- Project management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management, process improvement, or operational efficiency roles.
- Strong understanding of change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Lean, Six Sigma).
- Proven track record of leading successful change initiatives in complex organisational environments.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and strategic-thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in facilitating change at all organisational levels.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, Lean Six Sigma).
- Experience in the engineering, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
