Claxton are looking to hire a Forklift/Yard Operative on a 12-month fixed-term basis. Based at their facility in Great Yarmouth, the Forklift/Yard Operative is to support the warehouse/yard functions with location & status of equipment, re-palletising loads & updating asset movements on Global Movement App.
Duties & Main Responsibilities
- Assist and manage unloading of equipment, checking IDβs, reporting in through procedural lines and storing equipment accordingly.
- Assist with deliveries & collections as required using company transport.
- Cycle counts of asset inventory.
- Assist with organising & housekeeping of the warehouse/yard, ensuring areas are presentable and safe.
- Unloading/loading of trucks and processes as and when required.
- Assist with storage of equipment, ensuring preservation applied to critical areas.
- Assist with stores processes as required.
- Act as delivery/collection driver for Claxton owned vehicles β as and when required.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods in/out.
- Provide support to the Warehouse capability.
- Assist in providing support to local stores deliveries, as necessary.
- Assist with delivery to workshops of asset required for upcoming projects.
- Return completed assets from maintenance to storage location.
Required
- Good standard of education β GCSE or above.
- A working knowledge of Health & Safety, ISO9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001.
- Warehouse and storage processes.
- Forklift driving β 5te Minimum.
- Working knowledge of oilfield equipment would be an advantage.
- Overhead Crane and Slinger / Banksman Training is desirable.
- Loading/unloading heavy and/or obscure loads.
- Manual handling.
- Experience in warehouse processes.
- Computer literate β able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access databases to a good level.
- Good communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good organisational skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work alone but around other ongoing operations.
