UTEC, Acteon’s Geo‑services business line, harnesses data to optimise designs, save time and maximise your project’s economic value by providing a holistic understanding of the marine environment. Our insights underpin customers’ decision‑making from design to asset life extension, ensuring every decision delivers.

The Global Marketing Lead is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, execution and optimisation of integrated marketing programmes that grow awareness, pipeline, and customer engagement. This role partners closely with Business Line leadership, Sales and Central Marketing teams to translate business goals into measurable campaigns, compelling messaging, and consistent go‑to‑market execution.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own and deliver an annual/quarterly marketing strategy and plan aligned to business objectives, target audiences, and budget.
  • Own end‑to‑end campaign management (briefing, creative development, execution, reporting, and optimisation) across channels such as email, paid media, social, web, events, and partner marketing, communicating externally using both the Acteon and Business Line brand channels as appropriate.
  • Define positioning and messaging in collaboration with Product/Brand stakeholders; ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints.
  • Lead the marketing roadmap, prioritise work, and coordinate internal and external resources (design, content, agencies, freelancers).
  • Lead cross‑functional marketing activity within a matrix environment, influencing stakeholders to deliver business objectives.
  • Track performance using dashboards and regular reporting; analyse funnel metrics (awareness, engagement, lead/pipeline contribution) and recommend improvements to maximise ROI and commercial impact.
  • Oversee website/content updates to support acquisition and conversion (landing pages, forms, SEO basics, CRO testing).
  • Work with Sales and Technical Authorities to develop marketing content (digital assets, marketing collateral, case studies and other assets) to improve lead quality, handoff processes, and enable strategic revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain and optimise the marketing tech stack as needed (e.g., CRM integration, email platform, analytics and tag management) in partnership with the Marketing Digital team / Ops / IT.
  • Ensure all marketing activity complies with relevant regulations and company policies (e.g. brand guidelines).
  • Own and manage the Business Line marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of spend and strong return on investment.
  • Act as the senior marketing advisor to the Business Line leadership team, identifying growth opportunities, market trends and competitive insights.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership across priority markets and industry sectors, and build relevant alliances in collaboration with the Global Events and External Alliances Manager.
  • Collaborate closely with the Central Marketing team to align with Acteon Brand Guidelines, priorities and exchange strategic input, resources, and specialist expertise across events, lead management, content development, and customer engagement insight.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a marketing role with responsibility for planning and delivering multi‑channel campaigns and strategic marketing programmes.
  • Solid experience of devising and implementing campaign strategies for technical portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of core marketing fundamentals: segmentation, positioning, messaging, channel strategy, and measurement.
  • Hands‑on ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and budgets in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with data and analytics tools to evaluate performance and make decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience briefing creative work and presenting results to senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to align marketing investment to business growth objectives.
  • Able to operate both strategically and hands‑on within a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrable success of working in a multiple stakeholder environment.
