2H Offshore is a global engineering contractor specialising in the design, engineering and integrity management of offshore structures, topsides facilities, subsea components and riser and conductor systems for the offshore renewables and oil and gas sectors. Both market sectors require similar engineering skill sets, and our breadth of experience in offshore structures and environments allows us to provide expertise at all stages of a project: feasibility and concept design, detailed design, procurement management, fabrication support, installation support, monitoring, integrity management, asset life extension and decommissioning.
2H Offshore are looking to add a Graduate Engineer to their expanding team in Aberdeen. We are now accepting applications from Graduates of 2024. The Graduate Engineer will be responsible for design activities including calculations, dynamic structural analysis and system configuration for a variety of subsea structures. You will be responsible for ensuring acceptable structural and fatigue performance of the designs, whilst considering the functional, fabrication, installation and in-service requirements.
Duties:
- Design of subsea structures, riser systems or components from concept through to detailed design level
- Analysis of subsea structures, riser systems or components using state-of-the-art commercial and in-house software
- Preparation of proposals
- Preparation of technical deliverables including reports
- Interfacing with clients through technical presentations and meetings
Requirements:
- Minimum 2.1 Master's Degree in Engineering (civil, mechanical, structural, offshore, hydrodynamic, renewable etc.), mathematics, physics, or similar
- The desire to develop your career and expertise in the oil and gas industry with potential to branch out into renewables as this part of our business grows
- Previous experience with industry-standard software is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided
- Excellent communicator, in both written and verbal forms with highly effective inter-personal skills supported by good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and proactively with a strong sense of personal accountability and self-motivation as well as collaboratively within a team
- Creative and adaptable in the ability to manage new challenges
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple, complex and fast-track priorities with a proactive and positive attitude
